QUETTA/PESHAWAR: Pakistani security forces killed 67 Afghan Taliban militants and injured several others on Tuesday. The forces repelled coordinated attacks in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Information Minister Attaullah Tarar said.

He shared details of the losses during Operation Ghazb lil Haq (Righteous Fury). The Afghan Taliban attacked 16 locations in northern Balochistan, including Qilla Saifullah, Noshki and Chaman. They also carried out fire raids at 25 sites.

Security forces repelled all attacks. They killed 27 militants in Balochistan and injured several others. One FC Balochistan North soldier embraced martyrdom, and five others sustained injuries.

In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, militants attacked one location and launched fire raids at 12 sites. Security forces pushed back every assault without any casualty. Overnight operations killed 40 militants in the province.

Tarar said forces continue follow-up operations. He added that authorities will release a detailed update later.

Pakistan’s armed forces launched Operation Ghazb-lil-Haq in response to cross-border attacks by the Afghan Taliban. Forces targeted militant positions and installations along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border.

Officials said the operation began on February 27, 2026. It includes coordinated air and ground strikes. Authorities reported heavy losses to militant posts and infrastructure.

Pakistani authorities vowed a strong and proportionate response. They stressed civilian safety and the defence of national sovereignty.
