Jeffrey Epstein’s estate has agreed to pay as much as $35 million to settle a class action lawsuit that had accused two of the disgraced financier’s advisers of aiding and abetting his sex trafficking of young women and teenage girls, according to a court filing on Thursday.
The settlement was announced by law firm Boies Schiller Flexner, which represents Epstein victims, in a statement filed in federal court in Manhattan.
The settlement, if approved by a judge, would resolve a lawsuit filed in 2024 against Epstein’s former personal lawyer Darren Indyke and former accountant Richard Kahn, who are co-executors of Epstein’s estate.
Epstein’s estate had established a restitution fund that paid out $121 million to victims. The estate also paid out $49 million in additional settlements to victims.
“Weiner added that because they did nothing wrong, the co-executors were prepared to fight the claims against them through trial.. But they agreed to mediate and settle the lawsuit to achieve finality on any potential claims against the Epstein Estate..”

Indyke and Kahn “made no admission or concession of misconduct” in the settlement reached, according to an emailed statement from their lawyer Daniel H. Weiner.
Epstein estate co-executors settle 2024 lawsuit.. No admission of wrongdoing.. Settlement offers financial relief to remaining victims..
Weiner said the co-executors did nothing wrong.. They were ready to fight the claims through trial.. But they chose to mediate and settle the lawsuit.. The settlement provides a confidential avenue for financial relief.. It helps Epstein victims who have not yet reached a settlement with the estate.
Epstein died in a New York jail in August 2019. His death was determined to be a suicide.
In the 2024 lawsuit, Boies Schiller Flexner attorneys said Indyke and Kahn helped Epstein set up a complex network of corporations and bank accounts. This network allowed him to hide his wrongdoing and pay victims and recruiters. They were “richly compensated” for their work.
The Boies law firm previously helped reach $365 million settlements with JPMorgan Chase and Deutsche Bank. The banks were accused of ignoring red flags about Epstein, a highly profitable client.
