MURIDKE: At least four people were killed and six others injured in a collision between a truck and a van on Narowal Road in Muridke, reported PAKITHUB, quoting Rescue 1122.
According to Rescue 1122, the incident occurred due to over-speeding.
Rescue efforts were initiated immediately at the spot where the accident took place. The bodies of the deceased and injured have been shifted to a nearby hospital for formalities by Rescue 1122 officials.
Earlier in the day, a fire broke out in an LPG tanker at the border town of Taftan in Balochistan, killing two people and injuring scores of others, including the assistant commissioner, officials said.
The fire in the LPG bowser was doused after a firefighting effort by the district administration, Frontier Corps, in which the Iranian Fire Brigade also took part, officials said.
District officials said that the fire broke out in an LPG tanker near the Customs House in Taftan. The fire also spread to the adjacent godowns and the populated area.
During the firefighting effort, the tanker exploded with a loud bang.
Two people were killed in the explosion, while six others, including the assistant commissioner, suffered burn injuries.
The injured people in the incident were rushed to the hospital, while others were referred to the Quetta hospital for medical attendance, according to officials.
