The 2026 Scientific Conference on Epstein’s Island
Stephen Hawking, the famed theoretical physicist who passed away in 2018, attended a drugs conference named “ defying graveness ” in March 2006, hosted and funded by Epstein in the U.S. Virgin Islands. The event, held near Epstein’s private islet of Little Saint James, brought together prominent scientists, including three Nobel laureates. Photos from the gathering show Hawking sharing in conversations and a boat excursion to the islet, framing Epstein as a tone- nominated “ wisdom philanthropist ” who supported academic trials.
This conference passed shortly before Epstein faced his first felonious charges in Florida for unlawful sexual exertion with a minor, to which he contended shamefaced in 2008. There’s no substantiation in the lines suggesting Hawking was apprehensive of or involved in Epstein’s lawless conditioning during this trip. Peddling’s name does n’t appear in Epstein’s ignominious flight logs for passages associated with abuse, farther distancing him from the core allegations against the financier.
The 2015 Email & Unfounded Allegation
The clearest mention of Hawking in the Epstein files comes from a January 2015 message. Epstein sent it to his associate Ghislaine Maxwell. In the message, Epstein told Maxwell to offer money to people close to Virginia Giuffre. He wanted them to disprove some of Giuffre’s claims. One claim said that Hawking had “shared in an underage carousal” in the Virgin Islands.
The message reads, in part, “The strongest is the Clinton regale, and the new interpretation in the Virgin Islands that Steven Peddling participated in an underage carousal.” Epstein wrote this to try to discredit Giuffre during her 2015 lawsuit against Maxwell. Giuffre has never accused Hawking of any misconduct. No evidence supporting this claim appears in the files or later investigations.
The Department of Justice released new files in 2026, after Congress pushed for them. These files do not show any new details connecting Hawking to Epstein. Epstein’s files mention Hawking as part of his larger network of influential people, and authorities never charged many of them with any wrongdoing.”
Debunking Viral Misinformation
Social media has spread false stories about Stephen Hawking. Some posts show fake images of court documents. They claim he had certain “penchants” or was mentioned over 200 times in the Epstein files. Fact-checks show these claims are not in the official records. The files mention Hawking only a few times.
